CHARLI MACKIE
Charli Mackie is a London-based composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist working across film, television, documentary, animation and theatre. Classically trained with a background in jazz and electronic music, she blends traditional orchestration and acoustic textures with contemporary electronic and experimental sounds, creating distinctive, character-driven scores that bring stories to life.
Her recent credits include the BAFTA-winning animated musical ‘DRAGFOX’, starring Sir Ian McKellen and Divina de Campo, award-winning documentary ‘War Paint: Women at War’, directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Margy Kinmonth, and ‘Hit Point’, a new crime series from U&Dave, assisting Dave Rowntree and Ian Arber. She also works as an in-house songwriter for Soho Sonic, and is the Musical Director of the musical ‘K-Pop Dance Heroes’, currently on its UK theatre tour.
Charli holds a BA in Music and an MA in Composing for Film and TV from the National Film and Television School. Her work has screened at major international festivals and on leading streaming platforms including the BFI London Film Festival, Aesthetica, BAFTA, Student Academy Awards, All4, Amazon Prime, Sky Arts, Channel 4 and Audible.
